Your wellbeing is our priority
We are passionate about providing support to those who may be experiencing difficulties with their mental health. We offer psychological treatment to individuals across the lifespan. Our services include individual therapy for people experiencing a broad range of mental health difficulties, adjustment to change and personal concerns, couples’ counselling, health and wellbeing coaching, and group psychoeducation programs.
Covid19 - LGPC Phase 2 Update
Federal Health Minister, Greg Hunt, has confirmed that Psychologists are essential services and as such LGPC remains open for face to face consultations, and we will continue this until stronger lock-down laws are announced. Please be assured we are committed to providing best practice and safe care for everyone who accesses our services.
We have introduced strict physical distancing practices. Fortunately, our rooms are large, and we can easily accommodate the 4 square metres provided per person for an indoor space (2 metres by 2 metres) regulations. Additionally, we have removed chairs from the waiting room to meet the 1.5 metres of healthy distance guidelines. There are no door knobs to negotiate and hand sanitiser and anti-bacterial wipes are readily available. We are also using Glen 20 on our fabric chairs after each consultation.
Sadly, we have had to discontinue offering tea, coffee and water at this time. We ask for your patience, cooperation and understanding as we negotiate and make changes to our more familiar ways of doing business.
Currently we are awaiting information from the Australian Psychological Society about current options for providing consultations via telehealth. We expect to have more information about the initiative within the week. In the meantime, if you would like further information about telehealth, please call us on 47285222.
